The correct airport code for Keflavik International Airport is KEF – this is where Firefly’s rental station is conveniently located. It’s important to note that Keflavik (KEF) and Reykjavik are not the same locations.
Reykjavik is approximately 50 kilometres (about 31 miles) from the KEF Airport, which is around a 45-minute drive. Booking your car rental at KEF ensures you’re starting your journey right where you land, without the need for additional transportation to Reykjavik.
Double-check your booking details to confirm you’re picking up your rental car at Keflavik International Airport (KEF), and not in Reykjavik city, to avoid any unintended travel delays and to kickstart your Icelandic exploration effortlessly.
