Most travellers will collect their car after landing at Keflavík International Airport.
1. Arrivals and Luggage
After landing, go through passport control and collect your luggage. This usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes depending on arrival time.
2. Take the Car Rental Shuttle Bus
Once you exit the arrivals hall, head outside and follow signs for the Car Rental Shuttle Bus.
- The shuttle stop is located just outside the terminal
- The service is free of charge
- Buses run frequently throughout the day
3. Travel to the Firefly Rental Location
The shuttle will take you to the nearby rental area in Keflavík, just a few minutes from the airport.
Firefly Iceland is located at:
Flugvellir 11, 230 Keflavík
The rental office is in the same building as Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty, making it easy to find once you arrive.
4. Collect Your Car
At the Firefly desk:
- Present your booking confirmation
- Show your valid driver’s licence and credit card
- Complete a quick check-in
You’ll then receive your keys and directions to your vehicle.
What You Need at Pickup
Make sure you have the following ready:
- Valid driver’s licence (held for at least 1 year)
- Credit card in the main driver’s name
- Passport or valid ID
- Booking confirmation
Having these ready helps keep the process smooth and quick.
